Privacy Policy

Effective July 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information True Fold Laundry (“True Fold,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and services for households, businesses, and Laundry Pros.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email, phone, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and role (household, business, or Laundry Pro).
  • Business & address data — business name and the pickup/delivery addresses you provide, which we geocode to coordinates to route pickups.
  • Driver location data — for Laundry Pros, GPS location is collected only while a job is active, to support routing and to verify pickups and deliveries. We do not track Laundry Pros when they are not on an active job, and precise location is not shown to customers.
  • QR scan logs — timestamped pickup and delivery scans that create a verified record of each handoff.
  • Payment data — processed by Stripe. We receive limited details (such as the last four digits and status) but do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage, cookies & analytics — basic device/usage information and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to understand how the service is used.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service: to schedule and route pickups, verify handoffs, process payments and payouts, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, provide support, and communicate with you about your account and service.

3. Driver location data

Because location is sensitive, we limit it deliberately. A Laundry Pro’s GPS is captured only during an active job and is used for routing and pickup/delivery verification and as evidence in the event of a dispute. It is retained as part of the job record and is never sold or shown as a live map to customers.

4. Service providers (processors)

We rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments: Supabase (database, authentication, and storage), Vercel (application hosting), and Stripe (payments and payouts). These providers may process your data only to deliver their services to us.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary for authentication and core functionality, and limited analytics to understand usage and improve the service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

6. We do not sell your personal data

True Fold does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with the processors above, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain job records (including scan and location logs) for a reasonable period to support dispute resolution.

8. Your choices and rights

You may access or update your account information, and you can request deletion of your data subject to legal and operational limits. To make a request, email us using the contact below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.

10. Children

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
